Cyber Cell Lucknow freezes bank account of blackhats in case of SGPGI Dr’s digital arrest

Lucknow, August 14: In the case of Dr Ruchika Tandon being digitally arrested and defrauded of Rs 2.81 crore in PGI police station area, the police has so far frozen Rs 27 lakh 88 thousand. Police is taking further action.

DCP East told reporters that Krishna Nagar resident Ruchika Tandon is a doctor in Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI). Cyber โ€‹โ€‹criminals have defrauded her of Rs 2.81 crore by digitally arresting her from August 1 to August 8.

He informed that in this case, she has registered a case in the cyber crime cell. In the action taken so far, police has frozen Rs 27 lakh 88 thousand. The cyber crime cell team is working on the basis of the rest of the bank reports.
