Lucknow, 01 August: In the case of misbehavior with a woman sitting pillon a motorcycle in rain water on Taj Hotel Road of Gomti Nagar, Deputy Commissioner of Police East Prabal Pratap Singh, Eastern Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Amit Kumawat and many other police officers have been transferred.
Also, Inspector in charge of Gomti Nagar police station, in charge of local outpost, sub-inspectors and policemen have also been suspended for negligence on the spot on the day of the incident.
Lucknow Police Commissioner issued an order and transferred police officers to improve the deteriorating image of the police due to ruckus in rain water in Gomti Nagar. In this, Deputy Commissioner of Police East Prabal Pratap Singh has been made Deputy Commissioner of Police 112, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police East Amit Kumawat has been made Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Headquarters, Southern Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Shashank Singh has been made Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police East.
Apart from this, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police High Court Kripashankar has been made Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Traffic, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Headquarters Raghavendra has been made Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police High Court, Assistant Commissioner of Police Ghazipur Vikas Jaiswal has been made Assistant Commissioner of Police Gomtinagar and Assistant Commissioner of Police Gomtinagar Anshu Jain has been made Assistant Commissioner of Police Women Crime.
Earlier, four people have been arrested in the case of misbehavior with a woman. Teams have been activated to identify other miscreants. Police officers were being called continuously to save the people identified in the case, meanwhile those officers of the police department have also been removed. Gomti Nagar Police has identified ten goons, out of which four people have been arrested.
Police on Wednesday arrested two persons after a video went viral in which dozens of people were seen harassing a woman under the Taj Hotel bridge, #GomtiNagar, #Lucknow. The woman, sitting pillion with a man on a motorcycle during the rain, fell from the bike as the harassers stopped and started pulling the vehicle. The accused are seen enjoying rain in knee-deep water under the Taj Hotel bridge. They ran towards the biker seeing a woman with himย and started splashing water on the duo. Police intervened and dispersed the unruly crowd at the bridge. Taking prompt action in the matter, the police filed an FIR and nabbed two accused.
