Ayodhya, 12 Nov: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced on Sunday that 88 diplomats from 54 countries have visited today’s Ayodhya and watched the spectacular ‘Deepotsav’ in the holy city.
“The country and the world have witnessed the Deepotsav of Ayodhya,” CM Yogi stated.
“Diplomats from 54 different countries have visited the new Ayodhya. The big ‘Deepotsav’ was a vision of Prime Minister Modi. Diwali is a vehicle through which we may all spread wonderful energies. I wish everyone a very happy Diwali and pray for the state’s people’s well-being,” he stated.
The Chief Minister further stated that those who were not there on the event expressed regret for missing the opportunity to visit the holy city on the festival day.
“Yesterday, 88 ambassadors from 54 nations arrived in Ayodhya. Those who were not present here (Ayodhya) texted us to say that they had lost the opportunity to visit Ayodhya. Those diplomats who were present here during Deepotsav stated they should have come with their families since it would have been more enjoyable,” according to CM Yogi.
On the auspicious festival of Diwali, CM Yogi visited the Hanuman Garhi temple on Sunday morning and offered prayers to Lord Hanuman in Ayodhya. He also paid a visit to Ram Lala Virajman’s shrine at Ayodhya and offered prayers. On Saturday, Ayodhya hosted a magnificent Deepotsav and lit up around 22.23 lakh ‘Diyas’ (earthen lamps) to commemorate the festival of lights.
The temple town achieved a new Guinness global Record by lighting over 22.23 lakh ‘Diyas’ (earthen lights) on ‘Deepotsav 2023’, breaking its previous global record of 15.76 lakh Diyas lighted last year on Diwali eve. Ramleela was performed by artists from Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Russia at Ayodhya’s Deepotsav.
Residents of Ayodhya were ecstatic to see Ramleela and the artistic manifestations of artists from other nations. Sri Lankan artists depicted Shri Ram, while Nepalese artists performed scenes from Shri Ram’s life. Russian performers also performed admirably.
A light and sound laser display based on the Ramayana was organized for around 20 minutes at Ram Ki Paidi during Deepotsav to make the celebration more thrilling. The occasion was attended by the Chief Minister, Governor Anandiben Patel, foreign ambassadors, and Yogi cabinet members.
The Chief Minister also went to see the Ramayana-themed 3D holographic display, projection mapping, and laser show. The stunning melodic fireworks captivated everyone at the Naya Ghat, including the Chief Minister and other visitors.
Lord Ram, Sita, and Lakshman were welcomed home at a ceremony held before to the great festival Deepotsav. The event was further enhanced by a chopper dropping flower petals on Ayodhya, prompting jubilation across the city.
