New Delhi, March 29: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Saturday visited Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra and Mata Subhadra at the Jagannath temple in Puri, Odisha.
Delhi Public Works Department Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma, BJP MPs Sambit Patra and Yogendra Chandolia were present with the Chief Minister.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister while addressing the journalists said that today she paid obeisance to Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra and Mata Subhadra in Puri. She prays to God that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country and Delhi continue to move forward on the path of prosperity and development.
She said that it is a big thing for her to come to Puri Dham for the first time as the Chief Minister of Delhi and visit Lord Jagannath. Today is the holy day of Amavasya. She said that with the blessings of God, we are all working together for a developed Delhi.
The Chief Minister announced that this year Utkal Diwas will be celebrated with great pomp in Delhi. The Delhi government has decided to organize it with great enthusiasm.
Praising the Odia community living in Delhi, she said that thousands of families from Odisha are contributing to the progress of Delhi. The Chief Minister said that the Delhi government will always be with the people of Odisha living here in their happiness and sorrow.
Delhi’s Public Works Department Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma prayed to Lord Jagannath for the happiness and prosperity of Delhi and all the countrymen.
