New Delhi, 05 January: The Delhi High Court has agreed to hear a petition seeking postponement of the Civil Services Main Examination till the situation is brought under control in view of the serious condition of Corona.

A bench headed by Chief Justice DN Patel ordered the hearing of this petition tomorrow i.e. on January 6.

This petition has been filed by 19 candidates who have cleared the Civil Services Prelims. These candidates have to appear in the main examination of Civil Services. It has been said in the petition that the infection of the Omicron variant of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) is spreading rapidly. This infection is surging at a faster rate than the second wave. In such a situation, the life of the candidates appearing in the main examination of Civil Services may be in danger.

It has been said in the petition that this will be the last opportunity for many candidates appearing in the main examination. Corona transmission has occurred in many states and cities of the country. Many education centers have also come under its grip. Governments are also issuing guidelines to prevent this, which shows the seriousness of the third wave.

It has been said in the petition that the main examination of civil services is going to be held from January 7 to January 16. There will be a total of nine papers in the main exam.
