New Delhi, 09 January: Before the upcoming Budget Session of the Parliament, over 400 staff of the legislature has been found infected with the coronavirus disease.ย
According to the source, out of 1409 staff of the Parliament, 402 people were found infected with the Covid-19 between December 4 and 8. Their report has been sent for further genome sequencing. This will tell whether they are infected with the new corona variant Omicron.
Of the infected staff, 200 are Lok Sabha, 69 Rajya Sabha and 133 concerned staff. All employees have already been asked to follow Corona proper behaviour and other necessary guidelines. Many employees are currently in isolation due to corona infection.
