Deoria, 02 October: Police have intensified action after the death of six people in a violent clash that took place on Monday morning over a land dispute in Fatehpur village of Rudrapur police station area. In this case one person has been picked up and others may be arrested.
A large number of PAC and police forces are deployed in the village as a precautionary measure.
After the matter came to the notice of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, all the police officials including Gorakhpur Commissioner, IG, Deoria DM-SP are present on the spot. Chief Minister Yogi himself is keeping an eye on this incident.
District Officer Akhand Pratap said that the police received information that an incident had taken place in Lehra Tola of Fatehpur village in Rudrapur tehsil. In this, one person from one party died on the spot and five people were found dying. Everyone was hurriedly sent to Deoria Medical College. Sadly, doctors have declared everyone dead.
When the matter was investigated, Sadhu Dubey, brother of Satyaprakash Dubey of the same village, had sold his share of land to Premchandra Yadav. This land was in the possession of Premchandra. This matter was settled only seven-eight years ago. This incident happened due to an old land dispute. It is too early to say anything right now. Police teams are investigating. Further action will be taken only on this basis.
According to the information received from the police, there was a dispute going on regarding the land for a long time. Around 7 am on Monday morning, Premchand Yadav went to Satya Prakash Dubey’s house and started fighting. The dispute escalated and Satya Prakash Dubey and others together killed Premchand Yadav by hitting him with a brick.
Meanwhile, when this news came to the family members of Premchand Yadav, the family members who arrived on his behalf killed Satya Prakash Dubey, his wife Kiran Dubey, daughters Saloni, Nandini and son Gandhi Dubey with sharp weapons. Son Anmol Dubey was injured.
As soon as the local Rudrapur police force reached the spot after receiving information about the incident, the attackers had fled. The police took the injured to the hospital.
On getting information about the incident, Gorakhpur Commissioner Anil Dhingra and IG Ravindra Gaur reached the spot and took stock of the incident.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of this incident. Principal Secretary Home Sanjay Prasad is taking every moment information about the Rudrapur massacre.
The Chief Minister has instructed the police officers to maintain peace and provide financial help to the families of the deceased.
