Dev Deepawali: CM Yogi reaches Varanasi to greet ambassadors of 70 countries

Varanasi, 27 November: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached Varanasi on Monday afternoon to welcome the ambassadors of 70 countries who were coming to participate in the Dev Diwali festival.

The Chief Minister was welcomed at Babatpur Airport by MP Machhilshahr BP Saroj, District Incharge Minister Jaiveer Singh, Mayor Ashok Tiwari, District Panchayat President Poonam Maurya, MLA Saurabh Srivastava, MLA Sushil Singh, Divisional Commissioner Kaushal Raj Sharma, District Magistrate S Rajalingam etc. From here the Chief Minister’s convoy left for Namoghat amid tight security.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath along with Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and State Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh will welcome special guests from 70 countries at Namoghat. Here, the Chief Minister will inaugurate the world famous Dev Diwali of Kashi at 5 pm. The Chief Minister will light the first lamp in the presence of ambassadors and foreign representatives of 70 countries. After this, lighting of lamps will start at the remaining ghats. From here, the Chief Minister along with the guests will go on a cruise to see the amazing beauty of the Ghats. At around 6.15 pm, the CM’s cruise will reach in front of Dashashwamedh Ghat and the Chief Minister will watch the beautiful Ganga Aarti with the guests. After this, after watching the laser and projection show at Chetsingh Ghat, the Chief Minister will return and watch the projection show being run for the first time at Kashi Vishwanath Dham. They will reach Namo Ghat at 8.30 pm and will leave for the airport directly from here.

Banarasi cuisine stalls set up for foreign guests at Namoghat

Stalls of Banarasi cuisine have been set up at Namoghat for the diplomats of 70 countries who have come to Kashi to witness the famous Dev Diwali festival. The guests will taste the Banarasi cuisine and witness the grandeur of the famous Dev Diwali festival. State Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself will welcome ambassadors, high commissioners and top officials of other countries including Indonesia, Italy, China, Poland, Russia, Nepal, Bhutan, Greece.

During this time, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, State Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh, State Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra will also be present. The guests were given a grand welcome through cultural programs from Babatpur Airport to Namo Ghat. The guests reached Varanasi airport by chartered plane.
