Mahakumbh Nagar, 27 January: A huge crowd of devotees is reaching to Prayagraj Mahakumbh. Devotees, pilgrims and tourists are continuing to arrive before pious bath of “Mauni Amavasya”. More than 46.64 lakh devotees took a dip at the confluence of the holy mother Ganga, Yamuna and the subterranean Saraswati till 8 am on Monday. Devotees throng at all the ghats of Sangam.
Additional Mela Adhikari Vivek Chaturvedi said that devotees are continuing to arrive in Mahakumbh. Devotees are taking a dip at all the ghats of Sangam. More than 46.64 lakh people, including more than 10 lakh Kalpavasis and visiting devotees, have taken a dip in Mahakumbh till 8 am.
A total of more than 13.21 crore devotees have taken a dip so far before the second important Amrit Snan on such a holy festival in Prayagraj Mahakumbh.
Movement of vehicles restricted in Maha Kumbh area
The fair administration and Kumbh police have made extensive preparations in view of the Amrit Snan festival. The entire fair area has been declared a no vehicle zone. The work of barricading on the Sangam banks is being completed rapidly so that the crowd remains under control. Special arrangements have been made in every sector and zone for the movement of devotees. No kind of protocol will be applicable during this time.
Special arrangements for parking and signage
All parking areas have been activated, where devotees will get basic facilities. According to the traffic plan, first the nearest parking will be parked there and after that the second parking will be used. More than 2000 new signages have been installed so that people can easily go in the right direction.
