Lucknow, 19 Oct: The Uttar Pradesh government plans to build ‘Digital Doctor Clinics’ in rural areas to boost healthcare services in the state’s rural and remote districts.

These ‘Digital medical Clinics’ will act as primary health care centers, offering not only medical consultations via online video conferencing, but also drugs consultation and laboratory services. This Digital Doctor Clinic is now part of a pilot initiative and will soon be expanded to 20 locations in Lucknow and Bulandshahr.

Following that, it will be extended throughout the entire state. According to a government official, the state government is launching this project using private funding. The government intends to enhance healthcare in isolated rural regions so that individuals may access medical advice, drugs, and pathology testing for critical illnesses at reduced rates.

For this project, the Yogi administration has inked an Rs 350 crore MoU with Obdu Group. Even before the Ground Breaking Ceremony, the Obdu Group will establish this project.

According to Sanjai Kumar, the founder and CEO of the Obdu Group, five physicians have been employed for this, with another ten on the way.

The CEO also stated that they are in discussions with additional investors about the firm, and that their objective is to grow this MoU up to a sum of Rs 1,000 crore. A Digital Doctor Clinic is a primary health care facility that incorporates both telemedicine branches (consultation and specialization).

It is intended to enhance rural healthcare by offering not only online video conferencing but also a skilled health care assistant to care for the patient and promote communication between the doctor and the patient. Best MBBS physicians will use blockchain and artificial intelligence technologies to reach patients in villages and distant rural regions, providing appropriate treatment and medications.

During treatment at Digital Doctor Clinic, patients will have access to a wide range of medications at extremely inexpensive prices.

Furthermore, blood tests will be performed in 3 to 5 minutes with a consultation fee of Rs 30 to 40. This test covers a wide range of fever profiles, including malaria, dengue, chikungunya, liver function, jaundice, sugar, and more.

Furthermore, with the low budget of individuals in rural and distant locations in mind, selected Digital Doctor Clinics would offer ultrasound treatments for Rs 200 to 300. Each Digital Doctor Clinic will feature a health care assistant who will assist patients in logging in using their mobile phones.

Following that, they would link the patient to the best MBBS doctor via an online video conference based on the patient’s disease.

Necessary tests will also be performed in 3 to 5 minutes, according to the consultation, and the findings will be shared with the physicians via AI. This will assist doctors in correctly diagnosing the patient’s disease and recommending the required drugs.
