Lucknow, 22 December: The positive effect of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s strict instructions regarding settlement of pending revenue issues is being seen in Uttar Pradesh.
Due to the efforts made on the instructions of Yogi for quick disposal of pending revenue promises, in the last three months almost double the disposal of the promises has been ensured as compared to last year.
A total of 19.57 lakh cases were pending on 16 September 2023. Between 16 September 2023 and 19 December 2023, 6.59 lakh new cases were added to it. Out of these total 26.16 lakh cases, a total of 12.90 lakh cases (49 percent) were disposed of in the last 3 months. This is almost double the average disposal (6.66 lakh) of the same last 3 months of last year.
It is noteworthy that on September 16, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had given instructions for quick and quality disposal of pending revenue cases in the entire state.
As a result of regular in-depth review at the level of Chief Secretary, Uttar Pradesh and Chairman, Revenue Council in accordance with the instructions, there has been a speed in the disposal of revenue claims.
Disposal of 7.77 lakh name transfer cases in 3 months
The state government spokesperson said that before September 15, 2022, a total of 20.67 lakh cases were pending at the state level and between September 15, 2022 and September 15, 2023, a total of 26.57 lakh cases were registered. Out of the total 47.25 lakh cases under consideration, a total of 27.67 lakh cases (59 percent) were disposed of during the entire year. For the cases filed between September 15, 2022, and September 15, the disposal for the entire year was 104 percent, while for the cases filed between September 16, 2023, and December 19, 2023, the disposal for only 3 months was 196 percent.
He apprised that a total of 19.22 lakh cases of Section 34 (Transfer of Name) were disposed of in one year from 15 September 2022 to 15 September 2023, whereas during the review period (16 September 2023 to 19 December 2023), 7.77 lakh cases were disposed of in just 3 months. Which is about Rs 3 lakh more than the average disposal of Rs 4.80 lakh in the same 3 months of last year.
89.43 thousand measurement and 1.10 lakh Kurra Vatwara cases were also resolved.
In one year from 15 September 2022 to 15 September 2023, 83 thousand cases were disposed of against the total 1.95 lakh cases under Section 24/41 (Metering), whereas in the review period (16 September 2023 to 19 December 2023) in just 3 months. 89.43 thousand cases were disposed of, which is almost 4 times compared to the average disposal of 20.70 thousand in the same 3 months of last year.
Similarly, in one year from 15 September 2022 to 15 September 2023, 81.16 thousand cases were disposed of against the total 2.79 lakh cases under Section 116 (Kurra Batwara), whereas in the review period (16 September 2023 to 19 December 2023) only 3 1.10 lakh cases were disposed of in the month, which is almost 5 times compared to the average disposal of 20.3 thousand in the same 3 months of last year.
Nearly 28 thousand cases under Section 80 were disposed of.
Similarly, in one year from 15 September 2022 to 15 September 2023, 41.03 thousand cases were disposed of against the total 49.12 thousand cases under Section 80 (Farmer to Non-Farmer Declaration), whereas in the review period i.e. 16 September 2023 to 19 December 2023, In just 3 months, 27.96 thousand cases were disposed of, which is about 2.25 times compared to the average disposal of 12.2 thousand cases in the
same 3 months last year.
