Azamgarh, 5 Aug: On August 8, 2023, all private schools in Uttar Pradesh will be shuttered. All private schools in the state affiliated with CBSE, ICSE, and UP Board have joined forces to protest the detention of Azamgarh School principal.

The decision is made at the meeting of the Unaided Private School Association.

However, the UP government has not declared any official holidays for August 8, 2023. The government schools in Uttar Pradesh will continue to operate normally. It is also recommended that parents whose children attend UP private schools contact school administrators for further information on the shutdown. The ruling follows the arrest of a school principal and a teacher in Azamgarh.

On Monday, a student from their school died after jumping off the school building. Anil Agarwal, president of the Unaided Private School Association of Uttar Pradesh, presented the facts.

The deceased girl’s parents said that their daughter took the drastic measure after being pressured by the instructor and principal.

According to a press statement from the Unaided Private School Association, the parents of the murdered girls are not listening and are threatening to file an FIR over the smallest issue.

“If a student takes any wrong step, the entire blame falls on the school management, principal, or teacher,” the group stated in a news statement.

On Monday night, the girl’s father reported the two to the police, stating they were “ill-treating” his daughter and making her feel humiliated in front of others. More investigation is underway, according to officials, and judgements will be made based on the available facts.

According to Anurag Arya, Superintendent of Police in Azamgarh, the autopsy was done by a team of physicians and was videotaped. Arya pledged that the investigation would be scientific and that anyone found guilty would face punishment.
