Kanpur, 26 February: Earlier the youth in Uttar Pradesh used to wave guns but now they have tablets in their hands. State Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said this while addressing the Defense Corridor inauguration ceremony in Kanpur on Monday.

He said that before 2017, the development of Uttar Pradesh was such that the youth used to wave pistols but now they have tablets in their hands. He is moving forward fast. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the direction of making the country self-reliant in the field of defense is moving forward day by day. Defense factories of Adani Group are ready in Kanpur. Built on 250 acres in Kanpur node of Defense Corridor at a cost of Rs 1500 crore. The youth of Uttar Pradesh will get employment. The youth of the state will move forward.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is connected through video conferencing. Army Chief Manoj Pandey was also present along with the Chief Minister. 41 weapons like carbines, pistols, sniper rifles will be made in the factory. The technology of making weapons here has been brought from Israel.

Let us tell you that the Arms and Ammunition Complex of Adani Defense is ready on the land of Defense Corridor in Sadh, Kanpur. It is being counted among the largest ammunition manufacturing unit in Asia. The work of making short range missiles has also started here.

According to the information released by the Adani Group, all the weapons required for the three armies and paramilitary forces to fight on the move will be manufactured here in a fully automated plant. All these weapons will be hand held.

Under Make in India, Defense Corridor in Uttar Pradesh has been given to Kanpur along with Lucknow, Agra, Aligarh, Jhansi, Chitrakoot. In the first phase, 222 hectares of land was identified for the Kanpur node.

UPEDA officials said, “21 MoUs were signed for the Kanpur node in the Global Investors Summit. There will be an investment of Rs 9,729 crore in these. About 17 thousand people will get employment in these factories. Adani Defense Systems, Zensar Aerospace, Anant Technologies and Endure Aerosystems are the major ones.
