New Delhi / Mumbai, Jan 10: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) attached a total of Rs 78 crore worth of assets of former ICICI Bank chief excutive officer (CEO)Chanda Kochhar and her family to and has also attached some of the assets of her husband’s company.
It is noteworthy that this action is being taken against Chanda Kochhar in a loan case of Rs 3,250 crore received from ICICI Bank in 2012. Chanda Kochhar had resigned from her post in October 2018 following allegations of misconduct by the bank’s lending company Videocon Industries over investment in Kochhar’s husband’s company.However, she has recently challenged the bank’s dismissal letter against her in the Bombay High Court.
