New Delhi, January 09: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) filed a charge sheet in the Rouse Avenue Court today in the Land for Job case.
The court will consider this on January 16. Apart from former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi, ED has named Misa Bharti, Hima Yadav, Hradayanand Chaudhary and Amit Katyal as accused in the charge sheet.
Rouse Avenue Court has also directed ED to file e-copy of the charge sheet. ED has recently arrested Amit Katyal. In the Land for Job case, CBI had registered the case before ED. The CBI case is also pending in this court.
On October 4, 2023, the court had granted bail to Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi in โโthe case related to CBI.
The court had taken cognizance of the second charge sheet filed by the CBI on September 22, 2023. On July 3, 2023, CBI had filed a supplementary charge sheet.
On February 27, 2023, the court had taken cognizance of the charge sheet filed against all the accused including these three. Earlier, on October 7, 2022, CBI had filed a charge sheet against 16 accused including Lalu Prasad Yadav, Rabri Devi and Misa Bharti in the Land for Job case.
CBI had arrested Bhola Yadav and Hridayanand Chaudhary in the Land for Job scam case. Bhola Yadav was Lalu Yadav’s OSD from 2004 to 2009. The Land for Job scam happened when Lalu Yadav was the Railway Minister. Bhola Yadav is considered to be the mastermind of this scam.
It is alleged that when Lalu Yadav was the Railway Minister, he was asked to give land in exchange for job. Bhola Yadav was entrusted with the task of giving land in exchange for job.
Bhola Yadav had won from Bahadurpur seat in the 2015 Bihar Assembly elections. In the third week of May, CBI had raided 17 locations linked to Lalu Yadav’s family in this case. CBI had raided the locations of Lalu Yadav, his wife Rabri Devi and daughter Misa Bharti in Patna, Gopalganj and Delhi.
