Lucknow, 04 February: Under the leadership of Yogi government, Uttar Pradesh has not only grown in the development of law and order and infrastructure in the last seven and a half years, but is also playing an important role in the direction of economic empowerment.

The target of Chief Minister Yogi to make the state a one trillion dollar economy is a strong example. In this sequence, the Yogi government has decided to bring the light of development to every section of the state through the eighth economic census 2025-26 in the state. Through its accurate data, various schemes will be made to improve the social status of the people, the benefits of which will be taken to the needy.

17 thousand enumerators and six thousand supervisors will be deployed

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the officials to prepare a detailed plan for the eighth economic census 2025-26, so that the economy of the state can be taken to new heights. The Yogi government is not looking at the economic census as just data collection, but is planning to develop it as a transformative tool.

On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi, this census will be done through digital means, so that accurate figures can be collected. For this, a web-based mobile application is being developed, which will facilitate data verification, monitoring and analysis in real time. This will help the Yogi government to assess the correct status of the enterprises, self-employed persons, workers and small businessmen of the state. This will bring transparency in policy making and schemes.

A spokesperson of the state government said that about 17 thousand enumerators and six thousand supervisors will be deployed for the eighth economic census. For this, the government will train local youth and make them a part of this campaign. While this will provide accurate economic data to the Yogi government, on the other hand, the youth will also get employment and skill development opportunities.

Small entrepreneurs and businessmen will get a big benefit

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also decided to appoint women enumerators to ensure the participation of women in the economic census. The Yogi government is taking steps towards making women self-reliant by providing them data collection, technical training and the facility to work on digital platforms.

The Yogi government’s economic census will also provide economic recognition to small entrepreneurs and traders of Uttar Pradesh. This census is an important effort to get the state’s micro, small, medium enterprises (SSMEs) recognized at the national and international level. The Yogi government will use the data obtained from the census to formulate the right policy, so that small enterprises can get financial assistance, access to new markets, business training and technical support. This will benefit small traders from both rural and urban areas equally. This census will be completely digital, which will not only increase efficiency, but will also speed up data collection.

Multi-layer monitoring system being prepared

The Yogi government is preparing a multi-layer monitoring system for the census. It will include the District Magistrate, District Statistical Officer and IT Expert Team. IT experts will ensure the quality and veracity of the data through the system. This will reduce the economic gap between village and city. Small enterprises will be promoted in villages, which will provide employment to rural youth. Startups and MSMEs will be empowered in urban areas, which will boost local production. Economic policies will be formulated with an inclusive approach so that every citizen can benefit.
