Lucknow, March 30: Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar said that the STF has been engaged to investigate the entire matter along with the police in the case of UP Board’s Class XII English paper leak. Action will be taken against the culprits under the National Security Act (NSA). Some people have been taken into custody.
The ADG said that the District Magistrate (DM) and Superintendent of Police (SP) of Ballia district received information that the Intermediate English paper was leaked. If the leak paper and the question paper going in the examination were checked together, it turned out to be the same question paper which was to be conducted in the second shift. In this way, the examinations were cancelled in those districts which had gone to Ballia and 23 other districts of that series.
He told that the STF has been pressed with the Ballia Police as to under what circumstances this question paper was leaked with the connivance of which people. Action has also been taken by the Education Department. UP STF and local police have also been instructed to investigate every aspect seriously and arrest the culprits.
