Kalaburagi/New Delhi, March 16: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while formally launching the BJP’s Lok Sabha election campaign in Karnataka on Saturday, said that the whole of Karnataka is saying that this time BJP will cross 400.

Prime Minister Modi, while addressing the BJP rally in Kalaburagi, the home constituency of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, said that Karnataka has resolved to make BJP win a record number of seats in the Lok Sabha elections. He said, “Today the whole of Karnataka is saying – this time we will cross 400.” He said that the country is ready to fulfill its resolutions.

Referring to the huge turnout in his rallies in four states of South India, Modi said that people everywhere are looking at the BJP with great expectation. In the last 2 days I visited 4 different states of South India. Be it Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu or Pathanamthitta in Kerala, I saw immense love and enthusiasm for the BJP among the people.

He said that the immense love that I can see here is a proof that Karnataka has resolved to make BJP win with a record number of seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The atmosphere in which I received your blessings during my road show was wonderful. The elections are yet to be announced and you have announced it.

The Prime Minister attacked Congress on the issue of nepotism and corruption. He said that there is resentment and anger towards Congress in Karnataka. People have come to know the truth of Congress.

Modi said, “Congress is such a party that no matter how many clothes it changes, its actions do not change. That is why the people in Karnataka have woken up, are red with resentment and anger. The disillusionment of the public in such a short time shows that people have come to know the truth of Congress.”

He said that once the soot can be removed from coal, corruption cannot be removed from Congress. Corruption is oxygen for these family members. Without corruption, these people cannot even breathe in politics.

Modi said that the law and order situation in Karnataka has deteriorated. The government here has been openly supporting anti-social elements. People are suffering from problems and Congress is busy looting.

The Prime Minister said that Congress has made Karnataka its family ATM. The earnings of the people of Karnataka are being supplied from here to meet the party and family expenses.
