Ayodhya, 05 Jan: Iqbal Ansari, a petitioner in the Ramjanmabhoomi-Babri Masjid controversy, received an invitation to the Ram temple consecration event on Friday.

According to Ansari’s daughter, the invitation was sent to her father at his home in Kotia Panjitola, near Ram Path. “Earlier in the day, my father was handed an invitation (for the upcoming consecration ceremony),” his daughter Shama Parveen stated.

On the occasion of the ‘pran pratishtha’ on January 22, over a lakh pilgrims are anticipated to arrive on the temple town.

According to estimates, there are around 7,000 guests from India and overseas on the invitee list.

Ansari, who is in his late 50s, stated on December 31 in an interview at his home here that the Muslim community respects the Supreme Court’s 2019 judgment on the Ram temple issue.
