New Delhi, February 18: After the displeasure of the Supreme Court, the Central Government has approved the appointment of the Chairman of the Debt Recovery Appellate Tribunal (DRAT).

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court, while commenting that the government is not serious about appointments in the authority, is taking the issue very lightly.

The Central Government has approved the appointment of the post of Chairman of five DRATs. The Appointments Committee of the Union Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Department of Financial Services to appoint him as the Chairman of DRAT.

The committee has appointed former Delhi High Court judge Justice Brijesh Sethi as the chairman of DRAT Delhi. DRAT Mumbai will be headed by Justice Ashok Menon, former judge of the Kerala High Court.

Justice Anil Kumar Srivastava, former judge of Allahabad High Court, has been appointed as the chairman of DRAT Kolkata, Justice S Ravi Kumar, former judge of Andhra Pradesh High Court, and former judge of Allahabad High Court Justice Rajesh Dayal Khare as the chairman of DRAT Allahabad. .
