Jabalpur, January 10: A First Information Repo (FIR) has been registered in Jabalpur against the star cast of the film “Annapurni” starring famous South film industry superstar Nayanthara, which was recently released on Netflix.
It is worth mentioning that this action has been taken against actress Nayanthara along with the film’s director, producer and other artists in the case of ‘love-jihad’ and insulting Lord Ram.
‘Annapurni’ is a Tamil film, in which along with Nayanthara, actors Jai and Sathyaraj are also in important roles. Hindu Seva Parishad officials and workers reached Omati police station on Tuesday.
Activists accused the film of hurting religious sentiments. Council’s state president Atul Jaswani and others submitted a memorandum to Omati police station in-charge Virendra Singh Pawar. Through the memorandum, a demand was made to register an FIR against the director, producer and actors of the film Annapurni, released on the OTT platform.
After that, after investigation, Omati police station has registered a case against the producer-director of the film along with the star cast under sections 153 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
This FIR has been registered against film director Nilesh Krishna, actress Nayanthara, producers Jatin Sethi, R Ravindran and Punit Goika besides Sarik Patel and Monica Shergill.
Atul Jeswani of Hindu Seva Parishad said that there are many such scenes in the film Annapurni, which insult the worshipable Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram of Hindu religion. The sentiments of Hindus have been hurt by making unrestrained comments against Lord Shri Ram in the film.
According to Jeswani, love jihad has been shown in the film. It has also been shown by the cast of the film that Lord Ram used to kill animals and eat meat during his exile.
He told that in the last scene of the film, before making biryani, the daughter of the temple priest wears hijab and offers namaz. It is alleged that an artist named Farhan brainwashed the actress and got her meat cut, because he says that Lord Shri Ram and Mata Sita also ate meat.
In the film, instead of going to the temple, the actress goes to Farhan’s house for Ramzan Iftar. In the film, the girl’s father is performing ‘Sandhya Aarti’ and the grandmother is chanting the rosary, but the scenes of his daughter eating meat and feeding her are interconnected. The actress’s father is the head priest of a temple. He has been making offerings to Lord Vishnu for seven generations but his daughter is shown preparing chicken-meat. He informed that in the film, an actor named Farhan has said that Lord Shri Ram, Mother Sita and Lord Lakshman, Shiva and Lord Murugan also used to kill animals and eat meat after cooking them. The film depicts indoctrination of a Brahmin Hindu girl to Muslim religion and misrepresentation of our religious scriptures like Ramayana, Puranas
and other religious scriptures to insult Gods with false facts.
