Lucknow, 15 June: Fire broke out in furniture shop near Lekhraj metro station in Lucknow on Saturday morning.
Seeing flames next to Lekhraj metro station in Lucknow on Saturday morning, local people informed the fire service department.
As soon as information about the fire near the metro station was received, three vehicles from Indira Nagar, Hazratganj Fire Service Station reached the spot.
According to the information, the fire broke out in a furniture shop on Shakti Nagar Dhal Road below the metro station around 10 am. Within minutes of the fire, the flames started rising and spreading, changing the atmosphere. Seeing the fire increasing, the vehicles passing by were diverted in the other direction.
According to the employees associated with the furniture shop, sofas and tables made of wood and other items were caught in the fire. The fire tenders, which came on information, controlled the fire after an hour of hard work, but by then a lot of furniture items were burnt and damaged.
