Lucknow, 16 January: Corona vaccination campaign started on Saturday across the state of Uttar Pradesh has proved successful.
On the first day, 31,700 health workers are being inoculated against Covid-19. The person who has been vaccinated from anywhere across the state has not received any complaint related to the health problem. On the other hand, those who are being vaccinated today, their second dose will be given on February 15.
State’s Additional Chief Secretary, Medical and Health Amit Mohan Prasad told the press conference that 13,419 health workers have been vaccinated in the state till 3:30 PM. No serious incident was reported from anywhere. All people have given very positive feedback.
He told that the employees from the highest level to our lowest level have got vaccinated. Today, Director General Health, Director General Family Welfare also took the vaccine dose. Director of Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI) also took the vaccine dose. Many leading doctors also took the vaccine dose.
‘We Win’ face shield to be seen on the faces health team involved in vaccination drive
Additional Chief Secretary Medical and Health said that ‘We Win’ face shield has been specially branded in the state. The activity of vaccination is being digitally promoted through the Co-Win portal of the Government of India. In this episode, ‘We Win’ face shield has been given to all the members of the vaccination team in Uttar Pradesh. It has been branded. ‘We Win’ means that we will be able to win over Corona. Wherever there will be a vaccination team, it will be seen applying this face shield.
Develops immunity two weeks after second vaccination
Additional Chief Secretary Medical and Health said that as the order of the people comes in a phased manner, they will come and take the vaccine. People should be cautious even after vaccination, as it has two doses. After getting vaccinated earlier today, now people will be given its second dose on February 15. At the same time, two weeks after the second vaccine, the body develops immunity. Therefore, do not lack caution at all.
533 new patients found, 9,162 active cases in last 24 hours
He informed that 533 new cases of infection have been reported in the state in the last twenty four hours. During this period, 930 patients were discharged after treatment. The number of active cases in the state has now come down to 9,162.
Recovery rate increased to 97.02 percent
So far, 1, 23,392 corona samples were tested in various laboratories in the state yesterday. At the same time, a total of 2, 60, 86,641 corona tests have been done so far. With this, a total of 5, 78,405 people have been cured and discharged from treatment after getting infected. At present the recovery rate in the state has increased to 97.02 percent. A total of 8,570 people have died from Corona so far. In the last 24 hours, 12 people have died.
