Lucknow, 24 February: People are scared of the movement of tiger and leopard in the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Forest department teams are running an operation to catch tiger and leopard. This time villagers have seen the tiger in Rehmankhera. The forest department has made a strong cordon to catch the tiger in the Rehmankhera.
District Forest Officer (DFO) Sitanshu Pandey said that when the forest department investigated the information of tiger sighting between Rehmankhera and Ulrapur, the footprints found there turned out to be of a tiger. After finding the footprints of the tiger, the forest department team has increased vigilance and started Operation Tiger Arrest.
Pandey told that the tiger has attacked the pig and is looking for more livestock. For this, solar camera and trap camera have been installed on the path of the footprints. A trap has also been tied in the area where the tiger roams, so that the tiger can be caught while hunting. Also, continuous inspection is being done with thermal drone cameras. The villagers have also been instructed to remain alert.
It is worth informing that for the last four months, tigers and leopards have been seen at different places, due to which there is an atmosphere of panic among the people. Not only this, recently an incident of leopard entering a marriage function organized in Para area of โโโโLucknow was reported. A sub-inspector of the forest department was injured while catching the leopard. The leopard was caught after a lot of hard work. After the photo of the ferocious leopard came out, panic spread in the area.
