Lucknow, 17 December: Anil Prajapati, son of former cabinet minister Gayatri Prasad Prajapati, was arrested by the police on Thursday afternoon. An First Information Report (FIR) was registered against him in several cases including forgery at the Gomtinagar Extension police station.
Meanwhile, Gomtinagar Extension police station in-charge said that information was received that Anil Prajapati is going to meet his father Gayatri during surrender this afternoon. On getting information about this, the police laid a full trap and caught Anil.
The station in-charge said that a former acquaintance of Gayatri and Brij Bhawan Choubey, who works in his company, had filed a case against the former minister and his son at the Gomti Nagar Extension police station. Since then, the police was searching for him.
