New Delhi, March 5: Congress has suffered a major setback just before the Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh.ย Former Congress MP from Varanasi Rajesh Kumar Mishra joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
He took membership of the BJP at the BJP headquarters on Tuesday in the presence of the party’s national general secretary Arun Singh, senior party leader Ravi Shankar Prasad and national chief spokesperson Anil Baluni. Rajesh Mishra was the MP from Varanasi between 2004 and 2009.
After joining BJP, Rajesh Mishra said that it will be my endeavor that this time the opposition candidate for Varanasi Lok Sabha seat will not get a polling agent. There is a need to take forward the work that the Prime Minister has done in the last 10 years. We are lucky that he is MP from Varanasi. Modi has brought glory to the country all over the world. There is talk of Rajesh Kumar Mishra getting ticket from Bhadohi.
