Lucknow, 17 May: The SARS-CoV-2- virus causing coronavirus infection in Uttar Pradesh is now reduced to 52 percent. Yogi government said that in the fight against the corona pandemic, the mantra of ‘tracing, testing and treatment’ has started yielding good results. On May 01, where more than 30 thousand cases were found, on Monday, less than 10 thousand cases were found.
On Monday, a government spokesperson said that the number of new Corona cases is decreasing day by day. Even after conducting over 2, 50, 000 tests each day, the situation is that there is a steady decline in the number of daily cases.
He said that on April 30, there were 3, 10,783 corona patients across the state; this was the peak till now in the entire Covid period. In comparison, there are 1, 49,032 lakh active cases on May 17.
βOn April 24, the state had the highest number of confirmed 38,055 new infections in a single day, whereas today, in the 24 hours on May 17, only 9,391 new cases were reported. Out of 75 districts in the state, there are 43 districts, where the total number of corona patients has been less than 2000, while 30 districts have less than 5000 active cases,β added spokesperson.
UP’s recovery rate of 89.8 percent
The spokesman said that more than 14, 6200 people have won the Covid fight. 2, 55000 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. UP’s recovery rate has increased to 89.8 percent.
