New Delhi, August 29: The family of Adani Group Chairman and well-known industrialist Gautam Adani has become the richest family in the country, leaving behind the family of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) chief Mukesh Ambani. According to the list of rich people released by Hurun India for 2024, with a total wealth of Rs 11.6 lakh crore, 62-year-old Gautam Adani and his family have secured the first position in the list of rich, leaving behind Mukesh Ambani’s family. At the same time, the total wealth of Mukesh Ambani’s family is Rs 10.15 lakh crore. The wealth of the Ambani family has increased by 25 percent in a year.

The Adani family has added Rs 5,65,503 crore to their total wealth in the last one year. Gautam Adani’s family tops the Hurun India Rich List 2024, with their wealth increasing by 95 per cent, which is now Rs 11,61,800 crore.
According to the list, Gautam Adani has registered the highest wealth increase among the top 10 in the last five years, which is Rs 10,21,600 crore despite the challenges following the Hindenburg Research report. In the last one year, the share prices of all the companies of the Adani Group registered a significant jump.
Mukesh Ambani’s family has secured second place in the Hurun India Rich List 2024 with a net worth of Rs 1,014,700 crore. Shiv Nadar of HCL Technologies and his family are third on the list with a total wealth of Rs 314,000 crore. At the same time, the family of Cyrus S. Poonawala, owner of vaccine manufacturer Serum Institute, is fourth on the list with a net worth of Rs 2,89,800 crore, followed by Dilip Sanghvi of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries at fifth place with a net worth of Rs 2,49,900 crore.
