Amethi, March 14: The Enforcement Directorate team on Thursday morning raided the residence and places of close relatives of former Samajwadi Party (SP) minister Gayatri Prasad Prajapati, who is involved in a mining and money laundering case. During the hours-long investigation, many dramatic developments were made by the family members trapped in the investigation.Â
At last, late in the evening, the ED team took Gayatri Prajapati’s sons, who were involved in the money laundering case, into custody and took them to Delhi for questioning amid tight security.
ED early Thursday raided the residence and residences of close relatives of former Samajwadi Party (SP) minister Gayatri Prasad Prajapati, who is involved in a mining and money laundering case.Â
During this time, the team officials reached the house of Amethi MLA Maharaji Prajapati amidst heavy security and conducted a raid.Â
ED interrogated the MLA along with his son and daughter-in-law and searched the documents. During this period, when the health of the MLA, son and daughter-in-law suddenly deteriorated, they were sent to the Community Health Center, Amethi for treatment where after treatment the condition of the MLA’s son and daughter-in-law became normal.Â
Whereas the doctors referred Maharaji Prajapati, wife of former cabinet minister Gayatri Prasad Prajapati and MLA from Amethi, to the hospital for better treatment.Â
Even amidst this dramatic sequence, ED officials continued the investigation. Finally, late in the evening, the ED team involved in the investigation took Gayatri Prajapati’s son Anurag Prajapati into custody for questioning in the money laundering case and took him for questioning amid tight security.Â
If sources are to be believed, the team has taken him to Delhi for questioning.
It is noteworthy that the Enforcement Directorate is simultaneously raiding the house of former Samajwadi Party cabinet minister Gayatri Prasad Prajapati and one of his female friends, Gudda Devi, the main accused in the mining scam, and examining the documents. A money laundering case is also going on against the MLA’s two sons, Anurag Prajapati and Anil Prajapati.
Gayatri Prasad Prajapati’s daughter said that my father has been in jail for the last 7 years and no hearing is taking place. The ED team has conducted continuous raids and seized everything. Despite this, the team continuously harasses her every day.
