KANPUR, 07 APRIL: Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) has intensified the raids on the premises with the arrest of the close relatives of the accused, identified as Ahmad Murtaza Abbasi, arrested in the Gorakhnath temple attack.
In this episode, a team of the ATS also conducted a raid in Kanpur. Acting at different locations in the city of close relatives of accused Ahmed Murtaza Abbasi, details about his associates are being collected.
Actually, Ahmad Murtaza Abbasi has been arrested for the attack in Gorakhdham temple. ATS teams have escalated the proceedings in search of clues of close and associates of his terrorists. ATS teams are conducting raids across the state and searching for close relatives of Murtaza’s helpers. If sources are to be believed, two of his close associates got input from the ATS to be in Kanpur.
Based on this input, the ATS team raided the Chamanganj area of โโthe district. It is being told that the ATS has caught both of them and has taken them with them for questioning. The raid has been kept highly confidential and has not been officially confirmed.
At the same time, it is being told that a team of ATS is camping in Kanpur with the relatives of Murtaza and raids are on.
Joint Commissioner of Police (JCP) Anand Prakash Tiwari has denied any information about the ATS raids in the district.
He said that if any investigating agency asks for any help in the proceedings, it will be made available.
