Gorakhpur, February 1: The Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) candidate and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will file his nomination on February 4. His door-to-door poll campaign will also start the next day on February 5.
The BJP has already announced a fortnight before that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be contesting from this seat.
However, Yogi will reach Gorakhpur on February 2. Meanwhile, Bhim Army Chief Chandrashekhar has as well announced to contest from Gorakhpur but the SP-BSP and Congress have not yet opened their cards.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who is a five-time Member of Parliament (MP) from Gorakhpur parliamentary seat, will file his nomination on February 4. This will be his first election to the Legislative Assembly.
On the other hand, Azad Samaj Party has also announced the ticket of its chief Chandrashekhar from Gorakhpur city seat. Now Aam Aadmi Party has fielded Vijay Kumar Srivastava but the SP, BSP and Congress have not yet opened their cards regarding this seat.
Yogi Adityanath will come to Gorakhpur on a four-day visit on February 2. He will file his nomination papers from Gorakhpur city assembly seat on February 4 as a BJP candidate. After this, he will address the workers’ conference at Maharana Pratap Inter College. On the first day, he will address the meeting of booth presidents with BJP metropolis, assembly in-charge, divisional president, power center in-charge and convener at Saraswati Vidya Mandir Arya Nagar.
Yogi Adityanath will address the doctors’ conference on February 3 at Balrampur Hall of Digvijaynath PG College from 11 to 12 noon. Then at 12.30 pm, there will be a meeting with the teachers in the Nipal Club. At 5.30 pm, he will be a part of the lawyers’ conference in the Saraswati Vidya Mandir complex located in Aryanagar.
On the morning of February 4, there is a program for the nomination of the Chief Minister. Nomination will be done in the collectorate at 10.30 am. Then at 11 o’clock in the day, he will attend the workers’ conference in MP Inter College.
The Chief Minister will participate in the Chitransh awareness conference at 2.30 pm and the enlightened class conference at Gorakhpur club at 4 pm.
Yogi Adityanath has a door-to-door election campaign in the city on February 5. In the meantime, he will also address a conference of Sikh society at Mohaddipur Gurdwara from 9 am.
