GST officials raid BJP leader Pankaja Munde’s Vaidyanath Sugar Mill in Parali

Parali, 13 April: The Goods and Service Tax (GST) officials raided Vaidyanath Sugar Mill in Parali in the Beed district of Maharashtra on Thursday morning. The raid on the sugar mills owned by Bharatiya Janata Party leader Pankaja Munde and her sister Pritam Munde surprised the political circles. The Opposition has been charging the ruling BJP of victimising the opposition parties.

The GST officials reached the Vaidyanath Sugar Mill office around 10 am. The raid has also rattled Munde supporters in the district. The mill is charged with non-payment of GST. The details are being investigated by the GST officials.

The sugar mill was also in the news for financial scandals.

Both Pankaja and Pritam are daughters of senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister late Gopinath Munde.
