Rajkot/Ahmedabad, 1: Gujarat ATS busted a terrorist module from Rajkot’s Soni Bazar and arrested three people linked to terrorist organisation Al Qaeda late on Monday night.
A pistol and 10 cartridges have been seized from them. Today, all three will be presented in Rajkot court for remand.
Gujarat ATS arrested three accused, Aman, Abdul Shukoor, and Saif Nawaz, in an operation in Rajkot late last night.
All the accused were active in funding sleeper cells and other forms of help for the terrorist organisation Al Qaeda. The three accused, originally from West Bengal, had been working in the city’s Soni Market for six months.
A few days ago, Gujarat ATS arrested people associated with Al Qaeda who were Bangladeshi in origin. Their further investigation was handed over to the NIA. In which the details of the three accused arrested late on Monday night came to the fore.
