Ahmedabad, 13 December: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Bhupatbhai Bhayani from Visavadar seat of Junagadh district on Wednesday submitted his resignation from the post of MLA to Assembly Speaker Shankarbhai Chaudhary. Bhayani was one of the five AAP MLAs in Gujarat.

The speculation of his resignation was in the headlines since Tuesday, when he met BJP state president CR Patil.

AAP MLA Bhupat Bhayani had won the last assembly elections from Visavadar assembly seat of Junagadh. He defeated Harshad Ribadia. Due to the service they provide to the people, they are recognized as 108 ambulances in the area.

On Wednesday morning, he submitted his resignation from the post of MLA to Assembly Speaker Shankar Bhai Chaudhary. The Speaker has accepted his resignation.

While talking to the media, Bhayani said that he is a nationalist person and he has to work for the public.

He said that he was earlier a BJP worker. He has worked as a worker in BJP for 22 years. He has taken this decision after talking to all the workers.

Bhayani said that he did not get a suitable platform in AAP, political decisions have to be taken on time. I have also resigned from AAP. I was a BJP worker, I was suspended but that was a constitutional post.

Bhayani said that there is no pressure on him from anyone.

There is a strong possibility of Bhayani joining BJP.
