Gorakhpur, July 21: On the auspicious festival of Guru Purnima on Sunday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath performed special worship of Guru Gorakhnath-according to the tradition of Nath Panth.
On this occasion, Yogi offered respect by worshipping his ‘Guru’ Mahant Avedyanath, Mahant Digvijaynath and all the Gurus of Nath Panth and expressed gratitude to them for their guidance on the path of public welfare.
Along with it, on Guru Purnima, by performing ‘Rudrabhishek’ dedicated to the Gurus, he served the cows and fed them jaggery.
The special ritual of Guru Purnima started early in the morning at Gorakhnath temple and the ritual was completed with a collective aarti. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also extended his heartfelt wishes of Guru Purnima to all the countrymen.
According to the special tradition of Nath sect in Gorakhnath temple, the head priest of the temple Yogi Kamalnath offered Mahaprasad of ‘roti’ to Guru Gorakhnath. After the completion of the ritualistic process of worship, the traditional collective Maha Aarti held on Guru Purnima was performed and faith was expressed towards all the gurus.
CM Yogi performed Rudrabhishek at the Shaktipeeth of the temple
On the sacred festival of Guru Purnima, Chief Minister and Gorakshapeethadhiswar Yogi Adityanath performed ‘Rudrabhishek’ of Lord Shiva with due rituals at Shaktipeeth of Gorakhnath temple on Sunday morning.
During his stay at Gorakhnath temple, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, as usual, also visited the cowshed of the temple. Here he called the cows by their names and pampered them when they came near him. He fed them jaggery with his own hands. The cows looked emotional after receiving love from Yogi.
