Gurugram, 27 September: Ensuring the safety of people living in multi-storey buildings in Gurugram is the priority of the district administration. The builders of the 23 buildings in the district which are to undergo structural audit should get their building plans done.
Meanwhile, these instructions were given by ADC Hitesh Kumar Meena while presiding over the joint meeting of builders, RWA officials and administrative officials in the conference hall located at Mini Secretariat on Wednesday.
ADC said that after knowing the consultant agency and other parties, it has been decided that the rates have been fixed on per square feet basis to repair whatever defects are found in the structure of any society. Out of this, half the expense will be borne by the RWA and the other half by the builder.
He said that all the builders who have not yet submitted their plans should submit their plans in the next week so that the buildings constructed by them can be audited. During this period, tests of these buildings will also be conducted by experts.
The ADC said that those who have purchased their flats and have not yet taken possession of them will have to bear the expenses for the repair work. Apart from this, the builder company will have to bear the expenses of the flats which have not been sold yet.
Meena heard the views of RWA officials and representatives of builders companies present in the meeting and said that the work of the buildings of the society will be done only with the coordination of both. The aim of the district administration is that people should live safely in all the societies of Gurugram.
On this occasion, DTP (E) Manish Yadav, Superintending Engineer of Public Works Department Praveen Chaudhary and representatives of various RWAs and builders were present.
