Half-naked man fined for distributing beer cans at ‘dry area’ of Haridwar

Haridwar, June 20: Increasing followers on social media by keeping beer at unknown place in the pilgrimage city of Haridwar has proved costly for a young man. Haridwar Police has slapped challan on the YouTuber after the video of him distributing beer went viral social media.

The Police have warned him not to repeat such an act in future. The YouTuber has apologized with folded hands. A video went viral on social media yesterday, in which YouTuber Ankur Chaudhary was seen keeping beer cans in the Kankhal area to increase his followers on Instagram for comments and likes. After the video went viral, the pilgrimage priest community expressed its anger, calling such videos against the dignity of the pilgrimage city and demanded action against the accused. 

On the instructions of SSP Pramod Dobal, the police immediately took cognizance of the viral video and intensified efforts to arrest the accused.

Meanwhile, the YouTuber reached Kankhal police station and started pleading with the police to forgive him. YouTuber Ankur Chaudhary said that he was not aware of it being a dry area. For this, he apologized to the police officers several times.

The police challaned the accused under the Police Act and warned him not to repeat such an act in future. 

Young pilgrimage priest Ujjwal Pandit said that it would have been a good thing if the YouTuber had distributed milk, lassi, buttermilk to his fans, but distributing beer is absolutely wrong. The dignity of the temple town will not be allowed to be tarnished.
