Chandigarh, March 28: The Haryana has got its state song for the first time. On Friday, on the last day of the budget session in the assembly, after a brief discussion, this song was passed unanimously. Now this song will be heard during every government program in Haryana.

Three people including Geetu Pari of Sonipat and Krishna Kumar of Fatehabad had lodged objections to the state song. After investigation, these objections were rejected.

On Friday, in the assembly, Haryana State Song Committee Chairman Laxman Yadav said that some unnecessary words were removed from the song. Suggestions were also given regarding the sentiment and language of the song. Former CM Bhupinder Hooda has also played an important role in this. On the words of beautiful fair women, he had said that where will Kali go? After which beautiful Syani woman was included in it.

Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda suggested in the House that in future, the state song should also be remembered along with the national anthem in the House. This song has been written by Dr Balkishan Sharma of Panipat. Dr Shyam Sharma is the singer, Paras Chopra is the composer and Malvika Pandit of Rohtak has directed it. The special thing is that no artist took any fee from the state government for the song.

Laxman Yadav said that the state song has been finalized by the selection committee after 12 meetings. On September 15, 2023, the then Chief Minister Manohar Lal had brought a proposal for the selection of Haryana State Song. On December 19, 2023, there was a detailed discussion on the format of the state song in the House and a committee of 5 MLAs was formed for its selection. 204 songs had reached the committee. Out of these, the committee selected 3 songs. After the last brainstorming, the song ‘Jai Jai Jai Haryana’ was finalized.

In the three-minute song, Haryana has been presented as the holy land of the Vedas. In Kurukshetra, Lord Krishna imparted the knowledge of Gita and the history of Mahabharata was created.

Describing the geographical specialty of Haryana, the song mentions Shivalik mountain range, Aravali mountain and Yamuna river. Along with this, the importance of ancient Saraswati river is also shown. The simplicity of the Haryanvi lifestyle is presented through the diet of milk and curd. The song describes the socio-cultural unity of the state. Here festivals of all religions like Holi, Diwali, Eid and Guru Parv are celebrated together. The progress of the state is linked to the development of education and business. Folk arts like Sang and Ragini are also mentioned.
