New Delhi, 28 April: Jharkhand High Court’s Justice Ambujnath’s court has upheld relief granted to former Congress National President Rahul Gandhi in the case of remarks on union Home Minister Amit Shah. During the hearing on Rahul Gandhi’s petition on Friday, the court has given the informant of the case a last chance to submit written arguments.
The High Court has fixed May 11, for the next hearing of the matter. Along with this, the court has extended the stay order on pest action against Rahul Gandhi. Earlier, the High Court had stayed the notice issued to Rahul Gandhi by the Ranchi Civil Court. Advocate Piyush Chitresh and Advocate Dipankar Rai appeared on behalf of Rahul Gandhi. Advocate Vinod Sahu appeared on behalf of the petitioner in the matter.
Actually, this matter is related to the comment made by Rahul Gandhi against the then National President Amit Shah in the Congress session, in which Rahul Gandhi had said that a murderer in the Congress cannot become the National President.
Congressmen cannot accept a murderer as the national president. This is possible only in BJP. Naveen Jha had filed a complaint against this statement of Rahul Gandhi in the Ranchi Civil Court, on which the court had taken cognizance. Rahul Gandhi has filed a petition in the High Court to repeal it.
