New Delhi, 15 June: The Supreme Court will hear the petition of Jamiat-Ulema-i-Hind against sabotage (bulldozer justice) in Uttar Pradesh tomorrow i.e. on June 16. The vacation bench of Justice AS Bopanna and Justice Vikram Nath will hear.

Jamiat has filed a petition and has demanded the issuance of directions not to do any sabotage in the UP without following the law. It has been demanded in the petition that action should be taken against the officers who demolished the houses without following any legal process.

This petition of Jamiat-Ulema-i-Hind has been filed in the context of the petition filed against the demolition of shops and houses in Jahangirpuri, Delhi.

The Supreme Court has stayed the action to remove the encroachment in Jahangirpuri.

In this new petition filed by advocates Kabir Dixit and Sarim Naved, it has been said that directions should be issued prohibiting taking any action other than law to cause damage to the residential and commercial properties of the accused in Kanpur.

The petition said that some objectionable statements were issued by two expelled BJP leaders, which led to communal tension in many parts of the country. A bandh was called in Kanpur city in protest against the statements of these two leaders. Stone pelting took place between two communities on this day. After this, other officials, including the Chief Minister of the state, made a public statement that the properties of the suspects would be attached and they would be bulldozed. It has been said in the petition that without giving notice to the accused and hearing their side, their property cannot be demolished.
