Lucknow, 17 May: The impact of the cyclone Tauktae in the Arabian Sea reaching the Gujarat coast of was also seen across Uttar Pradesh. There were dark clouds in different districts of the state.
According to the Meteorological Department, there will be rain with strong winds in the next 24 hours.
JP Gupta, director of the zonal meteorological center, told that the impact of cyclone Tauktae in Uttar Pradesh will be more visible in the next 24 hours. This will have an impact especially in West Uttar Pradesh.
He told that there will be light rain in some places in the state, and then heavy rainfall may occur in some districts. Now the rabi crop work is almost done here, so this cyclone will not cause much damage to the farmers.
According to meteorologist Dr N. Subhash, there will be light rain on the morning of 18 May. There will be splatter with drizzle. It is likely to rain on May 19 as well. The Uttar Pradesh Relief Office has also made preparations in view of arriving of cyclone Tautkae.
It is worth mentioning that after wrecking havoc in Kerala, Karnataka, Goa and Maharashtra, the cyclone has moved towards Gujarat. The effect of which has been tremendous in the coastal areas and the impact of the Tauktae in Uttar Pradesh will also be witnessed as per meteorologists.
