Heavy rain predicted in some parts of UP in next 3 days, Met dept alerts farmers and people living in dilapidated houses

Kanpur, June 30: The Meteorological Department has predicted light to heavy rain across Uttar Pradesh including Kanpur division for the next two to three days. Lightning may also strike. The Meteorological Department has advised everyone to be cautious about this. 

Dr S.N. Sunil Pandey, Meteorologist of Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, said on Sunday that the seasonal monsoon is ready to embrace the whole of India in two to three days. At present, the monsoon is moving forward after crossing the entire region of Bihar, Bengal and Uttar Pradesh. In the next two to three days, the monsoon is likely to cover the entire country.

Pandey told that due to climate change, there is every possibility of stream options in the coming days. Wherever rain is recorded, it can be recorded above 50 to 60 mm, because this is what the weather system is showing. 

He has cautioned people and advised that farmers should make proper arrangements for water drainage in their fields, because if the fields remain filled with water for 12 to 14 hours, there is a possibility of 20 to 30 percent loss. People living in dilapidated and old houses have also been advised to be alert and take precautions.
