Lucknow, 6 December: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday paid floral tribute to the Ambedkar statue in Hazratganj on the occasion of Dr. Ambedkar’s Mahaparinirvan Diwas. After this, the Chief Minister attended the program organized at the Ambedkar Mahasabha office.

Addressing the program organized at the Ambedkar Mahasabha, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that in Bangladesh, Hindus, Buddhists and people of minority community are being killed and burnt by the fundamentalists there. Their property is being looted. The dignity of mothers and sisters is being insulted.

He said that as long as Jinnah’s spirit remains on earth, this type of anarchy will continue. We are seeing the same scene there. All the Hindus and Buddhists who are being killed there are Dalits.

The Chief Minister said that the real face of those who pretend by showing the copy of the Constitution needs to be presented before the country. They had tried to ‘murder’ Baba Saheb by attacking his original Constitution. The same act was done by the Congress in 1975. They are doing the same act even today. The preamble of any Constitution is its soul. If our soul is removed from the body, then the body dies.

Yogi said that Baba Saheb Ambedkar had said that do not let the partition of India happen. When the villages of Dalits were burnt by the Razakars of Hyderabad, Dr Ambedkar had written a letter to the Dalits that they should leave the Nizam’s kingdom and come out but do not change their religion at any cost. Baba Saheb did not waver from his ideals.

The Chief Minister said that Bodhisatva Baba Saheb’s dream was that by eliminating the poverty line in the society, we can contribute in bringing prosperity in the life of every person. The double engine government is determined to make this dream come true with full commitment. Today, the double engine government is giving land lease to those who do not have land, housing facility to those who do not have a house, ration card to those who do not have ration card, Ayushman card to those who do not have Ayushman card.

The Chief Minister said that the work of developing Panch Teerths was done by the Modi government. On the demand of Ambedkar Mahasabha, work is being done to establish an International Center in Lucknow. It will also have auditorium, library, hostel, guest house and a grand memorial of Ambedkar.

On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, Social Welfare Minister Asim Arun, Chairman of Scheduled Caste and Tribe Commission Baijnath Rawat, MLC Lalji Prasad Nirmal and Ramchandra Patel were prominently present.
