Kannauj, 04 Jan: The Kannauj district administration razed the three-story home of history-sheeter Ashok Yadav Munna in Dharanidheer Pur Nagaraya village, Vishunagarh police station area on Thursday.
The administrative crew came and began destruction with the assistance of a JCB.
Accused of murdering a cop: To avoid arrest, history-sheeter fought with police on December 25, 2023. Police constable Sachin Rathi (28), who was struck by a gunshot fired by history-sheeter Ashok Yadav, alias Munna, died in Kanpur while being treated.
Previously, the deceased constable’s body was taken to the police line with state honours. The state honour was handed to policeman Rathi’s body as it arrived at the police line on Tuesday afternoon, in the presence of senior police officials, including Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar Anand.
They presented flower tributes to the slain cop.
According to the Superintendent of Police, Munna and family members assaulted the police squad that had gone to arrest the history-sheeter in Dharni Dheerpur Nagariya hamlet in Vishungarh police station area on Monday night and began firing. Munna, along with his wife and a minor, was detained in this case. The husband and wife have been arrested, and the youngster has been placed in a juvenile facility. Constable Rathi was shot in the thigh during this incident.
According to the official, the injured policeman was being treated in Kanpur. The constable died shortly after the incident.
When the cops intervened in this shooting, history-sheeter Ashok Kumar and his son were also shot. According to the report, the offender and his son were sent to Tirva Medical College for treatment.
The police stated they found two pistols from the history-sheeter and his son, which they used to fire at the cops. He said that a double barrel rifle was discovered from his home during the search.
