Sambhal, March 13: Holi of flowers and gulaal was played after 40 years in Kartikeswar Mahadev temple, (also known as Bhasma Shankar temple) located in Khaggu Sarai of the district. During this, strict security arrangements have been made.
People were seen playing Holi on Thursday after a long period of 40 years in Kartikeshwar temple located in Khaggu Sarai of Nakhasa police station area of Sadar tehsil area. Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal organized Holi Milan Samaroh in the temple premises. In this, people played Holi with flowers and gulaal with enthusiasm.
District President of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Anand Agarwal said that people from many social organizations gathered at Kartikeshwar Mahadev temple opened after 40 years and are playing colorful Holi of flowers and gulaal. There is a saffron atmosphere here. It is a matter of good fortune that Holi is being played in this temple after four decades. Everyone is playing Holi with colors with great enthusiasm.
Additional Superintendent of Police North Shrishchandra said that Holi is being played in the Kartikeswar Mahadev temple premises. Tight security arrangements have been made here. Surveillance is being done through CCTV cameras. All the people are sharing the joy of the festival with each other without any fear.
