Kanpur, 29 August: There was a time in Kanpur when smoke used to come out of the chimneys here. The industries here were famous all over the country. That is why Kanpur was called the Manchester of the North East but due to the Congress government, the industries here gradually closed down. This has created employment crisis and people became unemployed. Just now I was coming by car with my senior minister Suresh Khanna, then I saw Lal Imli mill on the way and wondered how such a big industry which was famous not only in the country but also abroad, was closed due to the policies of Congress. On this we have decided that Lal Imli, which has become a monument of Congress’s corruption, will be renovated, said Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath who reached Kanpur on Thursday to lay the foundation stone and inaugurate projects worth Rs 745 crore.

For the first time after the Lok Sabha elections, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached Kanpur on Thursday and addressed a public meeting at Government Inter College Chunniganj under Sisamau Assembly constituency in view of the by-election to be held on the Sisamau Assembly seat.

Earlier, the Chief Minister distributed tablets and smartphones to more than eight thousand students. Along with this, appointment letters were given to more than a thousand candidates and later laid the foundation stone and inaugurated development projects worth Rs 745 crore by pressing the button.

Chief Minister said that the BJP government has given a model of security, good governance and development. Whereas before this, Uttar Pradesh was in need of its identity under the SP government. Hooliganism, crime and riots used to happen in their government. The youth who used to go out used to have a crisis of his identity. In the tenure of seven and a half years, we have decided today how development, good governance and law and order should be. Just now I was coming with my senior colleague minister Suresh Khanna on the way and on the way I came across a building named Lal Imli. This Lal Imli which had once made its mark not only in the country but also abroad. Today it has become a monument of Congress’s corruption. Our government will get it renovated with a big package and once again the products of Lal Imli will make its mark at the global level.Attacking the previous SP government,

Chief Minister Yogi said that the people of SP are eager to repeat their history. Their identity is hooliganism, crime and harassing businessmen. Their show-off face is different. Their inner face is different. Today, Sisamau assembly MLA Irfan Solanki is in jail due to his act. He was plotting riots on the arrival of the then President of the country Ramnath Kovind, who is also a resident of Kanpur. Recently, three of their scandals have come to light. Their leader raped a Nishad girl in Ayodhya. The second incident was committed by their people in Lucknow. When the father and daughter were passing by during the rain and water was being thrown on them. The third incident is from Kannauj which is called the Nawab scandal. In this too, their leader was playing with the honor of daughters.

Chief Minister Yogi said that in our government, no one needs a recommendation for a government job. The entire process is done in a transparent manner. We are promoting industries to provide employment to the youth. In 2017, we had set a target of 20000 crores in the Global Investor Committee which has now become 40000 crores. We are going to give 2 lakh government jobs in the coming year. The process of recruitment of 60 thousand police personnel is going on in this. The process of police recruitment is also going on in such a way that even a bird cannot fly. One lakh police personnel will be recruited. 20 percent of them will be girls. More than one crore youth will be given jobs in the private sector. 50 lakh youth will be linked for self-employment through schemes.

He said that today Kanpur has become a metro city. There will be development, security and a model of good governance in the BJP government. The pot of sins of Irfan, who was the SP MLA from Sisamau seat, has burst and he is in jail today. We appeal to the people of Sisamau to come with development. In the BJP government, everyone is being given the benefit of development schemes. Neither caste nor religion is being seen. The foundation stone and inauguration of projects worth Rs. 745 crores is for everyone. We hope that this time in the by-election, the people of Sisamau will stand with development.
