Nagpur, March 24: Bulldozer action was carried out on the house of Faheem Khan, the main accused in the Nagpur violence case, on Monday. The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) officials have demolished the illegal part of Faheem’s house.
Faheem Khan, leader of the Minority Democratic Party (MDP), is the prime accused in the violence that took place in Nagpur on March 17. Investigation revealed that Faheem Khan has constructed a two-storey building in Sanjay Bagh Colony within the limits of Yashodhara Nagar Police Station in Nagpur.
According to the Municipal Corporation, a large part of Faheem Khan’s house was built illegally. Nagpur Municipal Corporation had issued a notice on Sunday to remove the illegal construction at his house and he was given a deadline of 24 hours to remove the illegal construction. After this, the local people say that his entire family has gone to their relatives’ place.
Faheem Khan has been described as the mastermind of the violence in the police report. It is clearly mentioned in the FIR that Faheem Khan had gathered a crowd in the area on the day of violence and instigated the crowd against the police and administration.
After this, the police arrested Faheem Khan on charges of gathering a crowd and instigating violence. Now the Municipal Corporation has bulldozed the illegal part of Faheem Khan’s house.
