1st session of 18th Lok Sabha- Indi-Alliance leaders happily protest in Parliament House complex

New Delhi, June 24: The first session of the 18th Lok Sabha began today on Monday (June 24). The session began with the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The opposition started the first session by protesting in the Parliament premises outside the Parliament. IND Alliance leaders protested in the Parliament premises carrying a copy of the Constitution.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Congress Parliamentary Party President Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi also participated in the protest. Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav, MP Dimple Yadav and Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Kalyan Banerjee and other opposition MPs took out a march carrying a copy of the Constitution.

Regarding the protest, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said that the public is with us in the efforts we made to save the Constitution. But Modi ji tried to break the Constitution, so today we are gathering here and protesting.

Regarding the protest, Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Kalyan Banerjee said, ‘We are protesting because the provisions of the Constitution have been violated. He said that the way the Protem Speaker has been appointed is a clear violation of constitutional provisions.’
