Abu Dhabi, 18 December: Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi claimed on Friday that he has credible information that India is planning a surgical strike against Pakistan and is trying to get a tacit approval from its allies.

He said this at a press conference held in Abu Dhabi at the end of a two-day visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

According to Pakistan’s Dawn newspaper, Qureshi said that an important development has come to light.

He has received information from intelligence forces that India is planning a surgical strike against Pakistan.

Qureshi alleged that India is making such plans to divert attention from serious internal issues and to integrate the ongoing division in the country.

During this time, Qureshi also raised the issue of farmers’ ‘dharna’ and said that due to BJP’s policies, large scale demonstrations are taking place in India. Opposition parties, lawyers, civil society and trade unions are supporting them.

Qureshi said that India will respond to Pakistan to its full potential and effectively this time as of February 2019.

The Pak foreign minister also tried to link it with Afghanistan. He said that any move by India could affect Afghan peace process and India would be fully responsible for it.
