Prayagraj, 08 October: The 91st Foundation Day celebrations of the Indian Air Force (IAF) went down in history as an important day.
On this historic occasion, Air Chief Marshal VR Choudhary unveiled the new Indian Air Force ensign on Sunday. The annual parade saw the air warriors marching with ‘josh’.
With this, the date of October 08, 2023 in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh was recorded as a historic occasion in the history of the Indian Air Force.
India’s drone power was showcased with the new flag of the Air Force. After this, the Nishan Toli gave recognition by passing in front of the saluting stage with the new flag, which was greeted by all the people standing at their respective places.
If we go back in history, before independence, there was a glimpse of British rule in the upper part of the Air Force flag. The flag of the Indian Air Force was changed after independence. The flag of the Air Force was prepared by combining the Union Jack with the Indian tricolor.
Now the new flag has been designed to better reflect the values of the Indian Air Force. The Air Force crest is included on the fly side in the upper right corner of the new flag.
Air Force Station Bamrauli was prepared in line with the preparations for the annual ceremonial parade. Para hand gliders were the first to welcome the visitors at the parade venue and the audience responded with thunderous applause.
After this, 10 air warriors of Akashganga team from AN-32 aircraft demonstrated by jumping into the sky at a height of 10 thousand feet and landing at the parade venue through parachute. The bands of the three armies won the hearts of the audience with their musical presentation.
Air Chief Marshal VR Choudhary (Reviewing Officer of the Parade) inspected the parade after taking the salute. After this, the marching contingents started passing in front of the salute stage under the leadership of the parade commander. Many women officers also led marching contingents.
Chief of the Indian Armed Forces (CDS) General Anil Chauhan and Air Commanding Officer of Bamrauli Air Force Station (Central Air Command) RZA Kapoor were also present in the parade.
